White Birch Rafting Hometown

1500 $

This painting was created in 2024. The colors of this year are still bright but not dazzling. I have gradually found a balance point among the bright colors.

On the south coast, every lapping of the waves means "return". The waves sometimes bring letters carrying history. The sound of the waves at this time is thick and slow. A piece of birch wood drifted here in the distant past. Come again, with a long story.

Creative themes and style |   My works revolve around the creative concept of  "The land of humanity, People on the land". The people in the painting are people in nature, and the lines, shapes, and colors are close to nature. The nature in the painting is nature in the eyes of humans, existing in interaction with humans.I don’t pursue a series of works with a fixed and continuous style. I hope that the style of the pictures will synchronize with the changes in my life and always remain oscillating. The performance of the work must be in sync with the development of one's own life in order to be Sincere and powerful. Ideas are later.

This piece, The Former Haunt of the Drifting Birch, tells a unique story through distinctive visual language. In the artwork, the fishing net twists like threads of memory, and the envelope holds unspoken words. Together with the figures and the birch wood, they create a space that breaks from convention. Look at the figure’s face — the subtle brushstrokes forming wrinkles and color changes seem to hold years of experiences and feelings. The closed eyes aren’t sinking into depression; they’re looking inward, gathering strength. The hand gently resting on the face has a soft posture but hides the resilience to wrestle with confusion, like touching oneself to find inner resolve.

In painting, “visual narrative” progresses through the interweaving of elements; “color deconstruction” breaks free from outdated patterns; and “spatial co - construction” lets different components communicate beyond physical barriers. The way the figure’s hand grips the birch wood, with muscles and knuckles depicted, shows the value placed on the token of the “former haunt” — an emotional tie between the person, the past, and the surrounding environment. This painting uses such a new approach to speak of a gentle look back at the past and an active search toward the future. It reminds viewers: Art isn’t a rigid copy of reality, but uses creative “visual grammar” to find, between being bound and breaking free, between darkness and glimmers, the bright places in life worth striving for. Every look is a resonance with an optimistic, tenacious soul, witnessing the healing and inspiring power art releases after breaking from convention.
