Nilin — Sand — Composed of mudstone platforms, grass, shells, and snails, all elements share the same color palette. Each form is distinct yet seamlessly blended at the edges. The relaxed, leaning, and embracing posture, together with the harmonious color coordination, seems intended to achieve complete immersion in nature. Yet the essence of an embrace is to counteract relaxation; to hold is to love, to grasp something cherished. The tension between looseness and tightness, though seemingly opposed, is precisely what makes love precious and profoundly manifest. Named “Sand” — representing the intermediate space of “dust and rock,” a place defined by the act of embracing.

She stands for an ongoing process of life, a miniature of the seaside town I know—where people, events, nature, and society intertwine in vast, shifting connections, and emotions hover between the real and the unreal.

Ni Lin is the answer I received after questioning the affairs of this world. The stories that follow are answers as well—blurred, often without knowing what they truly point to.. There may be moments of certainty, yet as your eyes move forward, they, too, fade and return to doubt.

Whatever is certain is always receding; what is approaching causes unease. Amid the rising and falling tides, perhaps only by treating the whole swell of doubt as a kind of certainty can one find happiness.

What is the inspiration behind this figure?
“泥林——沙”来源于潮水退去后留下的沉积与包裹感，身体仿佛被沙粒缓慢覆盖与塑形，呈现一种被时间轻柔侵蚀的状态。它更像是“停留”与“沉淀”的具象表达。
“Nilin — Sand” is inspired by the sense of sediment and enclosure left behind after the tide recedes. The body appears to be gradually covered and shaped by sand, expressing a gentle erosion over time—a visual metaphor for stillness and accumulation.
What materials are used, and is it suitable for long-term display?
本作品采用PU树脂手工制作，并以水性颜料逐体涂装。建议避免阳光直射及潮湿环境，以延长作品的保存时间与色彩稳定性。
